Do you have any tips to help me take a good photo?

Nothing adds texture to your review like a beautifully composed picture of your meal. You don’t have to be a professional photographer, you just have to follow a few simple guidelines. Here are our top tips to get you started:

1. Snap your meal as soon as it’s ready.

Food doesn’t stay looking good for long, so make sure you get the shot as soon as it’s on the plate. The aim is to make us feel like we’re right there with you – we want you to make our mouths water.

2. Get the lighting right

Don’t use an in-camera flash as it’ll wash-out the colour and texture of the food. Make the most of natural light instead and consider using a filter to really finish it off.

3. Get the background right

Whether it’s a well-placed fork, a funky cookbook, or a beautifully laid tablecloth, what you have in the background can make all the difference to nailing the perfect shot. Just remember, less is usually more.
